“Sacrifices.. Our Family Makes”: Stephen Curry On Pregnant Ayesha’s Presence To End 5 Game Road Trip During Easter

It was a fiery showdown in AT&T Center tonight. The San Antonio Spurs hosted the Golden State Warriors as both teams desperately looked for a win. The hosts, in hopes of building for the next season, the visitors, to protect their playoff chances. Behind Victor Wembanyama, the Spurs held an 8-point lead at the half. However, Draymond Green‘s double-double altered the Dubs to their third-quarter expertise. Stephen Curry boosted the Warriors with a game-high 33 points, helping the Warriors to a 117-113 win.

In the post-game conference, Curry dedicated the win to everybody involved with the franchise; the staff, media members, coaches, and teammates. In light of the Easter weekend, he touched on the strict schedules, often separating them from their families. Moreover, with Ayesha and Steph expecting baby no.4, he thanked Ayesha and the 3 kids for making a taxing journey to Texas, quipping, “It’s not easy what we do and it reminds you of the sacrifices we make, our family makes to allow us to do what we do on the courts. So, its nice to have them here.”

Stephen Curry made sure to put on a show for his family, recording 21 of his 33 points from the three-point line. The family will now head back home, as the Warriors will host the Dallas Mavericks on April 2. Ahead of the matchup, the Warriors will yet again be on the road to shun their ongoing feud with the Houston Rockets.

The Spurs game marks the two team’s third clash in the past 1 month. It was also their season finale. The Warriors, leveraging their chemistry and franchise history, garnered 3 wins within the 4 contests.

Coming out of his season high of 40 points against the New York Knicks, Wembanyama continued his scoring touch. The Warriors were able to slightly affect his efficiency, as he scored 10 times on the similar 22 attempts from the last game. Moreover, as the Dubs pestered Wemby, preventing him leave a mark on the boards, Sandro Mamukelashvili sustained most of their rebounding role, recording 11 rebounds and 10 points.

Apart from Steph’s clear-cut dominance, the biggest performance came through Draymond Green. After being ejected earlier, Green was questioned about his intentions and commitment to the franchise. However, he bounced back against the Spurs, touching the 20-point marking the first time since February 15 (the third time this season). Green scored 21 points and dished 11 assists in the game.
