Serbian team seems to still be recovering from their loss to the USA in the semifinals for the gold match, even after winning the bronze by defeating Germany in the Paris Olympics 2024 . As the Serbian guard Bogdan Bogdanovic says, “After the USA match, none of us could sleep at night. Today, we woke up at seven in the morning because of the match time. Despite this, we showed our character and winning mentality on the field.”

Nikolic Jokić and his men put up a powerful match against Germany today, making the FIBA World Cup winners finish 4th. Serbia’s Jokic had his 5th triple-double in the Olympic history, helping Serbia to put a strong score of 93-83 against Germany.

Jokić scored 19 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists. While, Vasilije Micić scored 19 points and Bogdan Bogdanovic scored 16 points and help Serbia win their first medal after winning a silver in the Rio Olympics 2016.
Although Germany’s Franz Wagner and Mortiz Wagner scored 19 and 16 points, respectively. Germany made a push in the fourth-quarter and dropped Serbia’s led to 82-74. However, Serbia was quick to respond to an 11-4 run and push it back above double digits.
