The NBA world has been engulfed with reactions of the father-son debut! But nothing comes closer to the pure emotions coming from the mother. Savannah James witnessed her husband and son share the same NBA court for the first time. It’s something that everyone in the hoops community anticipated for a long time. However, Mrs. James did something more than just anticipate. She picked up a new hobby which she resisted for so long.

Anyway, before we look at her new hobby, let’s look at her reaction to the historical debut. Savannah took to her IG stories and shared the video clip of Bronny James clocking in at the start of the second quarter. That moment couldn’t have been any better. When the 20-year-old entered the court, he had to take the full court because of an inbound pass. And, James Sr. also had to run up close to his son, to guard a player. And the new chapter began with a father-son duo standing next to each other. Truly an emotional moment. Along with the video, she made a wholesome statement, “I’ve watched A LOT of basketball… This is so special!!”

Moreover, it wasn’t just Savannah who described the moment as “special”, but also the man himself. Speaking to the media after the game, LeBron James narrated the whole moment again. He said, “We were standing next to each other and I kinda looked at him and it was like the matrix… It didn’t feel real.” 

Moreover, speaking of his family’s reaction, “I haven’t got on my phone just yet but I probably hear about it. I know Bronny probably hear about it but it’s definitely a moment that I would never forget and it’s pretty cool.” Alright, let’s now look into how Bronny influenced Savannah to pick up a hobby.

LeBron James narrates the story of Savannah’s untapped hobby

A few days ago, we must have seen the video of Savannah James playing her son in the NBA 2K24 in practice mode. Well, it isn’t just an ordinary tribute to her son. During Lakers Media Day, LeBron James revealed the story behind it and shared it on his IG stories.

Speaking to Spectrum Sports, James said, “I have a video on my phone of Savannah playing NBA 2K. She does not play video games but she went to practice mode and played her son. She was playing Bronny… So this is what it takes to get you on the video game. It was just super cool. We think we all are proud of everybody in our family.” 

Nevertheless, this is just the beginning of something great. We might come across many firsts in the coming months with the NBA’s first-ever father-son duo on the same court. Anyway, this is just a preseason game fans still haven’t seen the best of Bronny yet. So, it’s too early to make any verdict on the duo’s partnership on the court.
