The chemistry within the Philadelphia 76ers organization has been at an all-time low following a series of controversies. The NBA world observed one such example when the team’s 38-year-old star ditched the wedding of Joel Embiid for a concert. Interestingly, 70 days after that, he linked up publicly with Travis Scott, Meek Mill, and Jack Harlow.

The star had spent great time off-court with the celebrities after refusing to do the same for his teammate. The duality in the veteran’s activities has put the franchise’s problems fully on display right before the start of next season.

The 76ers forward P. J. Tucker intentionally skipped the wedding of the roster’s talisman’s wedding in July this year. The NBA champion made the headlines for this as he attended the Rolling Loud Festival during that day. His time in Miami showcased the lack of understanding between the team members, weeks after the loss in the playoffs.

Following that, he recently paid a visit to billionaire Michael Rubin’s star-studded Reform Casino Night. With the aim of criminal justice reform, they raised $24 million as the basketball star also contributed. In the images released later, Tucker was seen having a blast in the building filled with icons from various fields.

Despite reaching the twilight of his playing days, the graph of Tucker has been on the up. Even last season, he played and started 75 games for Philadelphia in their brilliant regular season run. The 6’5 has been irreplaceable for his squad defensively but certain other aspects of his game have also improved.

In the previous regular season, he averaged his career-high free throw percentage. His drive to keep on improving has been admirable as the star played some of his best basketball after the age of 30. So, the supporters must be hoping for an enthusiastic display from him in the coming campaign too.

The team bonding to date remains a worry for the franchise. But if P.J. can let nothing affect his mindset and willpower, just as he hasn’t in the off-season, they may turn out to be fine.
