With one-third of December already behind us, Christmas is not far away. This means multiple Christmas night matchups of the best teams in the league going head-to-head with one another. And the Oklahoma City Thunder seem to have a head start on Christmas already.

A time of joy, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and his Thunder teammates turned Santa for young NBA fans. Spreading the Christmas cheer early, Oklahoma City’s kids get their seasonal gifts early, credit to the Thunder franchise and its players.

When talking about Christmas, the first thing that pops up in any NBA fan’s mind is the Christmas Day matchups. Stars going head to head, giving out some of their best performances of the season.

But often, a lot of teams in the NBA go the extra mile for the fans. Something like the Oklahoma City Thunder franchise did. Thunder players, entertainers, and broadcast members hosted a shopping spree for grandparents and grandchildren.

Bringing Christmas early for the people of Oklahoma, the Thunder went ahead and had a day of shopping with numerous grand families. 

The official account of the Oklahoma City Thunder posted pictures and videos of players, broadcasters, and even entertainers making the families’ upcoming Christmas a special one.

The happiness and joy on the faces of kids and their guardians were visible on every slide. With no limit on the price tag, the kids got an absolute treat when it came to choosing their Christmas gifts.

One kid bought an Xbox Series X with a new controller and a gift card. Whereas another young fan decided to get herself some new sneakers. Fans picked from a variety of choices from a new doll set to Transformer cars.

Thunder organization goes the extra mile this holiday season

This event was in association with Sunbeam Family Services. The Sunbeam organization provides foster care that gives the ones in need care, aid, and supportive services in a homely environment for children.

Sunbeam also provides affordable mental health services that are private and accessible to all. And on top of that, it is tailored for all ages. Providing childcare and education in the state of Oklahoma for numerous decades, Sunbeam has been a household name around the country.

And for the Thunder organization to arrange this event for those kids and adults, this would be a Christmas for all of them to remember.
