The Clippers’ nine-game winning streak came to a sudden halt in the most stunning of circumstances as Oklahoma City demolished the Lakers 134-115. Without Kawhi Leonard (who had suffered a left hip contusion in their previous night’s win) the Clippers lost for the first time in an otherwise perfect month. Talismanic scorer James Harden carried the torch with 23 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists, and three turnovers.

Recalling the experience, Harden likens that same resourcefulness of the Thunder’s young guns to what it was like when he first arrived. “It reminds me of when I was here, the beginning of the Thunder Up days.” Harden says. And it’s beautiful. In a poignant moment of nostalgia, Harden acknowledged the resonance of the Thunder’s resurgence, evoking memories of a time when he himself donned the Thunder jersey. While the Thunder’s young nucleus captured the hearts of the Clippers, Harden could only reflect on how much he enjoyed hearing items from both past and future being sounded out for OKC.

“I’m not the most talented. I’m not the tallest. But I’m not afraid of anyone.” - Kobe Bryant said this one, reflecting his competitive spirit and fearlessness. Looking at him gives me the motivation that I, too, can overcome all obstacles in life. My journey with basketball started very young, leading me here at EssentiallySports to become an NBA writer. My passion for the sport and writing come together to offer my readers top-notch stories. I love curating stories that extend beyond the court, and craft narratives that transcend the hardwood floor. Every article I write is like a canvas where basketball strategies meet my emotions, that truly resonate with the readers. My goal here is to craft content that is unforgettable and to pay tribute to the legend that Bryant is!
