Aftermath of LaMelo Ball’s accident

LaMelo Ball’s crash blocked both eastbound and westbound tracks of the Gold Line streetcar at Trade and Tryon, which led to service delays across Uptown. As a result, streetcars operated on shortened routes while crews cleared the intersection. Meanwhile, drivers moving through the area faced heavy congestion during the cleanup, further disrupting the city center.

Tow trucks and investigators remained at the scene to remove the damaged vehicles and reopen the roadway. In addition, sections of the street were temporarily closed, which limited access to nearby businesses. Authorities confirmed that the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
