The ongoing rivalry between the modern-era Boston Celtics and the Miami Heat is truly unparalleled. Whether it was during the reign of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade or the more recent Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum era, the intensity remains unmatched. In recent showdown, the Celtics set the stage for their 2023-24 home opener against the Heat, the same team that halted their previous season. Over the past few years, the two teams have collided in three conference Finals – Boston securing one and Miami advancing twice.

In contrast to their history of late-game collapses, the Celtics unleashed a relentless onslaught to sail past the Heat in their first matchup of the season. Five players in green recorded double-digit scores. However, Brown’s 10-points in the final quarter played a pivotal role in maintaining their dominance over the Heat.
