Fans of San Antonio Spurs have witnessed some scintillating basketball being played. This led to multiple NBA titles, but in the past five to six years they have found themselves on the wrong side of the table. This led to the Spurs winning the sweepstakes for French phenom Victor Wembanyama.

With Victor, the future looks really bright as the Spurs look to build a title-contending team around Wembanyama. Victor couldn’t have asked for a more suitable team to be drafted into. The Spurs have a history of developing skilled big men such as Tim Duncan and David Robinson into NBA legends.

In a recent interview with ESPN’s Malika Andrews, Wembanyama laid out his plans for his first season and his subsequent future. When asked about his title aspirations with the Spurs, Victor said, “Everyone wants it, for sure. But Spurs, they know how to do it. They have done it in the past multiple times and they are going to do it again. I just want it of course as quick as possible, but it’s going to come. Someday it’s gonna come, for sure”.
