This NBA season has many dominant storylines. Chief among those storylines is the developing partnership between Damian Lillard and his new teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo a.k.a ‘FreakTime’. The Milwaukee Bucks are the 2nd seed in the Eastern Conference after the Boston Celtics just one win behind them. Despite being touted as a new dominant super team of the NBA, the Bucks had a rocky start.

Would the Heat still be open to a Damian Lillard trade?
In a recent Reddit thread, a user and Heat fan raised an interesting question, “Knowing what we know now – would you still do the Lillard trade?” The fan elaborates on the question making an excellent case for the seven-time-all-star.
“Dame is an all-time player and a legit superstar, no doubt would be a great fit with Bam/Jimmy. HOWEVER any likely trade for him would have included Tyler, Jaime, multiple first-round picks, and potentially a Duncan/Caleb kicker to get the deal done,” said Brandman316.

He further added, “Tyler is putting up near Lillard like numbers and is 10 years younger on a far better contract. Jamie is the steal of the draft and looks to have the potential to be a 20 ppg type scorer. Duncan is having his best year of his career. Caleb has shown flashes of dominance this year..”
He finally concluded saying “Few months ago I would have jumped at the rumored proposal to get Dame. Now I’m not so sure. Cronin trying to screw us and not work with us possibly worked in our favor?” His comments got other Heat fans riled up in the comments section.
