34-year-old NBA player James Harden has been making headlines for quite some time now. After making quite an eventful exit from the Philadelphia 76ers last year, he was taken in by the Los Angeles Clippers. Given that the move combined the forces of Harden, Paul Geroge and Russell Westbrook to form a powerhouse team, many fans and analysts were waiting to see the positive impact that the decision would bring to the team. While many people would have been happy with Harden’s performance during the current season, controversial tv personality Skip Bayless is not amongst them.

The Clippers recently faced off against the Sacramento Kings. The anticipation by fans would have been generally high, since both teams were almost neck to neck on the points table. Despite the best efforts by James Harden to make an impressive contribution to the team, the point guard only ended up scoring 20 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. It didn’t help that Norman Powell, at 21 points, was the only other hope for the team. In the end, the Kings ended up securing the win through a score of 123-107.

Many people turned up to provide their reviews on the Clippers’ loss. Skip Bayless gave his opinion on what actually went wrong by using his platform to criticize the point guard. Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Bayless put out a statement that read: “James Harden, 2-10 from 3 tonight as Clips lose badly at home to Sac. No surprise. Ultimately he cannot be trusted.”

While the Clippers failed to meet the desired expectations, it would not be the right thing to place the blame specifically on James Harden. The player and his team made their best attempts to provide a strong defence, but they were no match to the powerhouse that was De’Aaron Fox. If his 33 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists weren’t enough to turn the tide of the game, it also didn’t help that the player was instrumental in putting up a defence that prevented anyone from the Clippers to properly score. James Harden may not have been perfect against the Kings, but The responsibility for a defeat in any game should not be solely given to a single player.

Skip Bayless has reportedly been a major critic of James Harden for quite some time now. When the Clippers confirmed the addition of the latter into their roster, the 72-year-old sports columnist wasted no time in making his opinion heard.

During a segment of his show ‘Undisputed’, Bayless went on an alleged rant about how, on the occasion of Halloween, the Clippers chose to fell “into the worst nightmare they’ve ever been.”
