The NBA Rivals Week cannot have a more perfect showdown. LeBron James dropped two clutch game-winning free throws to win the double overtime. On the other hand, the Splash Bros, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson kept sinking crucial three-pointers to keep the Golden State Warriors in the hunt. But it all came down to King James with two FTs to take the lead, with one second remaining on the clock.

While the NBA world wanted to hear from the 4x champion after the game, James dropped all love for Steph. He said, “Steph keeps me young,” during the post-game interview. Moreover, speaking about his ability to win games at this age, he said, “Steph after the game came to me and said, ‘How does it keep getting better.. how do we keep getting better?’ I think it’s a true testament to us, putting the work in… being true to the game.”

Stephen Curry tried all the tricks in his bag to take home the win. Following a struggle to tie up in the fourth quarter, the game eventually went into the second overtime. The Baby-faced Assassin finished the game with a season-high score of 46 points with 3 rebounds and 7 assists. But it was all left to King James’ mercy at the end.

LeBron James, on the other hand, played for 48 minutes and dropped 36 points with 20 rebounds and 12 assists. And, eventually taking his side home for a 145-144 win at the Chase Center.

James was supported by Anthony Davis and D’Angelo Russell with 57 points together to keep up with the Warriors’ total, and eventually surpass it. D’Lo has been showing his class ever since his name popped in the trade speculations. Several reports suggested that the LA side would trade the star for the Atlanta Hawks star Dejounte Murray. In response to that, Russell has been averaging 27.8 points in his last 8 outings.
