The Golden State Warriors‘ performance in the season so far raised serious concern across the NBA world. After a series of disappointing losses, the Dubs managed to secure a win against the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night. Stephen Curry and his men barely resembled the dominance that they asserted in the league over the last decade. Some critics even called for drastic trades after the team’s poor outings. However, Steph laid down a speed-breaker on them and expressed his confidence in the team.

In the Steph-Steve Kerr era, the Warriors built their reputation for their shooting and ball-handling skills. Klay Thompson and Curry jointly constructed the nickname ‘Splash Brothers’ out of their partnership on the court. However, the team seemed to be completely off-color, leaving the Dub Nation in the dark. Meanwhile, Steph came in as a guiding light with some promising words. Let’s find out more about it in detail.

The Dubs went off to a flying start, winning 5 consecutive games. It all came crashing down with a six-game losing streak. The team lost multiple games despite having massive leads in the first half. Moreover, the reliable offense stars like Klay Thompson and Andrew Wiggins barely contributed to the team

Nevertheless, the team’s second unit helmed by Chris Paul has been the only success story for the Warriors. Players like Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, Brandin Podziemski, and Dario Saric have constantly contributed throughout the series. Eventually, it led to the big question. Will the Dubs have to trade their core players to secure a spot in the playoffs and Curry has an answer?

Ahead of the Dubs’ upcoming game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Steph took up a few questions from the reporters. One of the reporters asked him about the team’s lean patch and the need to fix the offense. The Baby-faced Assassin immediately denied the idea and justified it by saying that the team needed more time. He added, We haven’t had constant stretch of the same unit… We’ll figure out a way to put ourselves in positions where we have a tight play.”

Is it too late for the Warriors to wait for the players to get into form? Only time will tell.

Will Warriors attempt to save $50,000,000?

In the conversation relating to the Warriors’ lean patch, Hoops Hype reported an interesting scenario. The hypothetical situation not only brings in a new offensive force to the team but also saves $50 million for the management. According to the analogy, if the management trades Paul for a $23.3 million match, reducing the Warriors’ payroll by $7.5 million, it will reduce the tax burden by $50 million. In return, the team could trade an offensive talent ahead of the trade deadline.
