“Basketball will be done by then. I can pretty much say that for sure. I don’t think I’ll be playing anymore.” This was Stephen Curry‘s statement about his future after 10 years. Obviously, he will be 46, by that time, no one expects him to be hooping. But the retirement questions have increased this season. And once again, the Warriors star opined on his near future will he ever take up another sport after retirement from the NBA?

No. No appetite to try to pursue a professional career at all.” The 4x NBA Champion replied to Emily Chang’s question on Bloomberg Originals. The host was golfing with Ayesha and Stephen Curry and asked if he would ever pursue golfing. As per top end sports, Golf has an avid following of 450 million fans spread throughout Europe, Asia, America, and Canada. Even though he has been golfing since he was 10 years old, not playing it professionally, definitely broke some fan’s hearts.

But basketball fans, especially the people of the Bay Area should have no such worries. “I have no idea how I’ll know, except I’ve talked to plenty of people who’ve been in that situation where there’s two ways to really go out. Either you’re forced out or you go out on your own terms.” The Thirty Ink CEO continued, “But I don’t think I’m anywhere close to that yet,” via The Circuit with Emily Chang.

Things to note is that he has spoken to people who have retired from the game. He knows his body limits and doesn’t want to push it when he becomes a burden on the team. The 36-year-old doesn’t want to end up “limping up and down” just to have a long career.

Not golf, but Stephen Curry has his priorities in order after retirement

He has built a diverse portfolio of tech investments with strategic foresight. Among his most notable investments is Tonal, an AI-powered home fitness system redefining how people work out. Plus, his drive to give back to society meant he also invested in Guild Education, a platform supporting workforce education, reflecting his dedication to empowering others.

But there is one more big goal, that Stephen Curry wants to pursue. “I mean the only thing down the road eventually is being interested in team ownership in the NBA. I have seen Jordan do it. You know, you have guys in the league now that are taking the necessary steps to be legitimate players when it comes to the league and possibly expanding in a couple of years. So for me, that’s definitely on the table.”

That’s why another professional career after basketball is not on the cards. He wants to grow the Curry Brand plus hopefully is at the owner’s table for one of the NBA teams. Which one will it be?
