Even though Steph tried to walk it off after the scary accident, he couldn’t resist the pain. Then, he immediately was assisted to the locker room with Rick Celebrini following behind.

However, the reactions coming out after Steph walked out of the court weren’t welcoming. Curry’s former teammate, Festus Ezeli, dropped a shocking statement reacting to the injury video. Ezeli added, “I was relieved that it wasn’t worse than what it was, ankle sprain but Steph Curry, he has had a history of those ankle injuries and so hope he just gets back on the court soon.”

After Steph twisted the ankle, the superstar tried to walk it off. Even though it looked like a promising sign, Ezeli’s comments on Steph’s history with ankle injuries proved it wrong. On the other hand, speaking to the reporters, Klay Thompson revealed the current status of his partner’s injury. He added, “He has an ankle wrap on, icing it” While Klay’s statement didn’t reveal the severity of the injury, Steve Kerr further doubled it down.

During the post game press conference, Kerr said, “I don’t know yet. He got his foot in a bucket of ice right now. I haven’t talked to the training staff yet.”

The Dubs are currently in the 9th seed, fighting its way to escape the Play-in Tournament. The Dubs are just 3 consecutive wins away from climbing up the ladder. When the Dubs looked down and out in the starting phase of the season, they pulled it back with a flurry of wins in February.

Right when the Bay Area side required another series of wins to climb up the ladder, Steph had Dub Nation worried about his injury scare. Meanwhile, the independent injury experts have delivered promising signs regarding the injury and predicted his return. Notably, the Dubs can’t afford to lose a stretch of games, as it could even spoil their Play-in Tournament chances.
