The Golden State Warriors were able to sneak past the San Antonio Spurs in the most recent In-season tournament matchup. The Warriors defeated the Spurs with a final score of 118-112. So, the starting lineup changes made by the Warriors coaching staff sure seemed to work wonders for the team.

The Warriors were led to victory by their star point guard, Stephen Curry. And even though Curry and the squad defeated the Spurs, The Chef could not help but laud Victor Wembanyama and the Spurs for an intense battle.

Stephen Curry praises the San Antonio squad

In a close game throughout all four quarters, it was Stephen Curry?s scoring that helped the Warriors defeat San Antonio. Curry led the team in scoring with a 35-point performance along with 6 assists and 3 rebounds for the game.

After the game, Curry had a few words with a reporter on the court. He said, ?It feels like a playoff atmosphere. It’s how it was designed. You understand the stakes and I think everybody around the league, the players, talk about how much it matters.?

?Even San Antonio who?s out of it, they were playing like the way they did tonight. It?s cool to still have a chance and a big game on Tuesday, obviously. It?s gonna be great to have Draymond back,? he said.

Curry also went on to add, ?You understand how talented the league is. A team that?s got three wins and they?re playing to the finish. Obviously In-season tournament with all the points and stuff.?

By the end of the game, the All-Star point guard was clearly impressed with the effort that the Spurs put in the game to win.

A strong effort by San Antonio

The San Antonio Spurs were led by Devin Vassell?s 24-point performance who came off the bench. He played a total of 27 minutes and scored in bunches that helped the Spurs keep the game close.

As for the starters, San Antonio had Victor Wembanyama and Keldon Johnson, who both scored 22 points for the game. The team kept the game close through their defensive efforts throughout all four quarters.

Constant deflections and steals kept the Warriors out of rhythm, but it was Stephen Curry and his three-point barrage that sealed the In-season tournament matchup. The Warriors will be facing off against the Kings on Tuesday with Draymond Green back in the lineup. Let?s see if the Golden State wins their division with a victory over Sacramento.
