Draymond Green is on the bad side of the NBA. Always a menace on the court, his altercation with Jusuf Nurkic has put him in the epitome of intense criticism, resulting in another suspension. However, this time around, things are different. According to reports, the NBA has imposed an indefinite suspension on Green. He will remain off the court until the league observes a demonstrable improvement in his behavior. This marks the third suspension for Green this season, forcing the NBA to take more strict measures.

Monta Ellis advises Draymond Green

Former Warriors leader Monta Ellis was queried about the potential return of Draymond Green to the lineup. He was specifically asked about the possibility of Green entering with a “not-over-the-top” approach. Ellis responded with a measured perspective while radiating that he does not have a grip on the intricacies.

Monta opted to share insights based on his own experience, straightforwardly advising Green to “just be real” with himself. Ellis encourages him to honestly evaluate his situation and recognize the value he adds to the Warriors team.

Draymond Green was once known for playing with edge and purpose. Now he is grappling with his basketball IQ, awareness, and dependability. The NBA has urged Green to reflect and undergo a positive transformation. With that, there is more than just missed games at stake for the Warriors’ floor general.

According to ESPN’s Kendra Andrews, if Green’s suspension comes at fewer than 20 games, he will incur a deduction of $153,941 per game. For an indefinite absence exceeding 20 games, the deduction will increase to $202,922 per game.

Currently, Green is in his first year of the four-year $100 million contract. With Green’s suspension, there is some relief for the franchise when it comes to luxury tax. For every game Green misses, the Warriors can save nearly $519,555 towards the tax.
