The Curry clan is celebrating right now. Stephen Curry‘s godsister, Stanford’s very own shot-blocking sensation, Cameron Brink, just announced she’s taking her talents to the WNBA. This news follows Stanford’s narrow defeat in the Pac-12 championship. Brink is a surefire top-3 pick in the upcoming WNBA draft. ESPN’s mock draft predicts the Los Angeles Sparks will draft Brink 2nd overall. This 6-foot-4 powerhouse could have stayed another year thanks to the NCAA’s COVID-19 eligibility extension, but she’s bringing the heat to the professional league.

The Curry family has always supported the 22-year-old Brink. A projected top-3 pick, Brink’s dominance on the court extends beyond statistics. Her support system, including her godbrother and Warriors’ superstar Stephen Curry, has consistently been a source of encouragement. Earlier this year, Brink led her team to victory at the FIBA 3×3 World Cup, receiving praises from Curry’s wife, Ayesha Curry.

Cameron Brink’s Stats & Accolades in College

In the year she joined, Stanford’s season started with question marks, but Brink wasn’t fazed. She balled out, averaging career highs in points, rebounds, and blocks. This one-woman wrecking crew led the Cardinal to the regular-season championship and a shot at the conference title.

This season, for her phenomenal performance, she was named the 2023-24 Pac-12 Player of the Year. Brink’s defensive ammo has been rewriting the record books with a historic 3rd Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year award. Only one other player in conference history shares this title – Chiney Ogwumike.
