NBA Insiders Zack Lowe and Bill Simmons think that the superstar could be on his way out of Southern California. “Are you 100% sure? That LeBron James going to be on the Lakers next year?” Lowe asked.

Simmons reply? “No.” He stated that he’s not sure if we will see James donning the Purple & Gold next season. However, if James is opting out, where’s he heading to? “I talked about the Cleveland stuff a month ago. I don’t, there are just not a lot of places. I thought it was like a DeAndre Hunter, Jarrett Allen for LeBron is a fun one. It is definitely a, who would have a longer meeting to decide whether they should do it or not. I don’t see how he goes to any other team than Cleveland.” Simmons said on the ‘Zach Lowe Show’.

That’d be some trade if it materializes! That’s because the Cleveland Cavaliers will get a bona fide superstar in LeBron James. Meanwhile, Rob Pelinka and Co. will get their wish of landing a big man to bolster their roster and build around Luka Doncic. However, it’s easier said than done. It will require a lot to push this one through, given that James has a no-trade clause in his contract, something that allows him to have full control over his next move. Even if the 40-year-old gives his nod to this reunion, the financial part will be a huge headache for both franchises.

This has raised some suspicion from a lot of fans and even the insiders. Although Zach Lowe and Bill Simmons predict that James staying in LA is the most likely outcome, his actions have been quite unusual. 

“Normally, he creates like the news for a day kind of storyline. Like LeBron James might, might not stay with the Lakers. It’ll be something. And it’s like, oh, here we go. And then it turns out he’s staying this time around. It’s been super quiet, which makes me suspicious.” Bill Simmons questioned on the ‘Zach Lowe Show’.

He suggested that usually there’s a little bit of a buzz around the 40-year-old’s future, which eventually settles down with him inking a deal.
