Following the hard-fought victory in Game 2, legendary rapper Fat Joe gave a massive shout-out to the NY Knicks. After winning Game 1 comfortably, the Big Apple side had a tough task beating the Philadelphia 76ers. In fact, Jalen Brunson & Co. snatched the victory from the hands of the Sixers in the final few seconds. In response to the Knicks fighting effort, the loyal Knicks fan dropped a special video to express his joy.

‘Make It Rain’ star turned on his selfie camera and spoke to the Hollywood directly after the victory. He said, “We’re the New York Knicks. Alright mama, Hollywood…This our year. We are going all the way this year… Let’s go Knicks… Legendary.” Moreover, he also revealed why tonight’s win was special for him. He continued, When you are in a team that’s been losing for 20 years, we take all our victories like this is championship. Shout out to me guys who were going hard out there. The rapper Fat Joe’s cry of joy stemmed from the NY Knicks’ championship drought. The last time the franchise ever went closer to getting a championship was in 1999 when they lost against the San Antonio Spurs. Since then, the franchise hasn’t had any notable success from their dominant series in 2012-13 with a 54-28 record. Unfortunately, Carmelo Anthony & Co. blew that season in the Conference semi-finals.

Moreover, it isn’t just the New York crowd that roots for the Knicks religiously, but also some of the greatest artists in Hollywood. Ben Stiller, Spike Lee, and several other film stars can be seen on the courtside screaming their lungs out for their favorite team. Apart from that, the Knicks fan base has a list of world-class musicians like Diddy, 50 Cent, Fat Joe, Alicia Keys, and several more.

To top it all, 50 Cent and Fat Joe involved the Knicks’ two players in their beef in the early 2000s. Tim Thomas and Stephon Marbury took each rapper’s side in the beef. Unfortunately, the duo settled it down the line.

Jalen Brunson & Co. put up a late show to snatch the win

The Knicks brought the playoff intensity alive at Madison Square Garden. The Knicks picked up their first lead of the game in the late third quarter. Since then, the Knicks had a back-and-forth game till the final buzzer. However, it was Donte DiVincenzo who flipped the game at the last moment. With a 5-point deficit in the last 45 seconds, the duo dropped back-to-back three-pointers to get the lead.

Josh Hart played a crucial role in that play, as he stole the ball from Tyrese Maxey as soon as it was inbounded to him. DiVincenzo took two shots in the turnover and dropped the second from the arc. Following that, Maxey and Joel Embiid tried to level the scores but ended up missing their shots.

Despite the crunch-time brilliance from the Knicks, they had a tough night shooting the ball. Especially Brunson, who shot with a 8-29 FG. However, speaking about the victory, JB said, “The one thing about this team, no one really cares about who’s doing what, who gets the credit for what or anything. We just want to go out there and win,” in the post-game press conference.

Will the Knicks keep up their momentum and take a 3-0 lead in the next match-up? Let us know in the comments.
