Devin Booker dropped harsh locker room reality after the Game 2 loss. The Phoenix Suns suffered their second humiliating loss, going down 0-2 in the series against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Suns Big 3 looked all over the place, contributing only 52 points together. And without much support from the rest of the roster, the Valley Side took home an embarrassing 93-105 loss. Following the game, D-Book dove deeper into the team’s primary issue and promised to rectify it.

Speaking at the post-game press conference, Booker revealed the lack of connection as the main reason for the defeat. He said, “Just talking to each other, holding each other accountable. We’re all trying to fight out there, and so far this series, once it has turned to sh*t, we’ve kind of separated instead of being together, and that’s everybody, top to bottom. We got to figure it out.”

The Suns have had camaraderie issues throughout the season. It started with Kevin Durant when ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski said, “They can feel the frustration with Durant,” speaking of the supporting cast. During the start of the season, the Suns missed both their guards, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal, with injuries. Even though KD carried the inexperienced side, averaging 30.9 points in 24 games, the Suns were unable to win.

A few days later, Slim Reaper revealed that the team had heated conversations within the team. He even acknowledged that it helped the team better. KD said, “It was good for us to go through some stuff early in the game to have those heated conversations… Sometimes, heated conversations are good for teams because you can be honest and real with one another.”

However, it didn’t end up very well for the star-studded side. D-Book revealed that the teammates often engaged in pointing out each other’s mistakes instead of sticking together. He even went on to blame the defeat on this disconnection.

Will the disconnected Suns defeat the mighty Wolves?

It will be highly unlikely for a disconnected team to take down the lethal Wolves. The Minnesota side has been operating with their rising superstar, Anthony Edwards. The youngster led the first game with a 33-point outing with 9 rebounds, also creating an iconic moment by taunting KD after sinking a three-pointer over him.

Tonight, it was an entirely different approach, with the entire starting lineup turning up against the Suns’ defense. Except for Karl-Anthony Towns, everyone scored above 15 points. On the other hand, the Suns didn’t have much support from the rest of the roster; apart from the Big 3, the rest scored 26 points.

Frank Vogel, the Suns HC, has already criticized the team’s inability to execute on the floor. While the teammates pointed out each other’s faults on the court, Vogel blamed them from the sidelines. After the loss against the Victor Wembanyama-less Spurs, he said, “For our guys, we all said the right things. We all did the right preparation. But we didn’t play with the necessary focus in this position throughout.”

Will the Suns fix their connectivity issues and bounce back in the series? What’s your take on the Wolves’ dominance? Let us know in the comments.
