So that Steph and Seth reunion is not happening. But the Curry brothers have another thing to celebrate – their sister’s big 31! Sydel Curry Lee celebrates her birthday on Monday, October 20 (you know, the day after the Warriors temporarily waived off Seth). After a lot of personal drama this offseason, Sydel’s birthday is bringing the family together to celebrate her. And she needs some of that while she misses her other half.

Always leading the way is Sydel’s sister-in-law and fellow vintner, Ayesha Curry. She brought back that famous Curry family picture in their black tie finest for Draymond Green’s 2022 wedding for a simple birthday message, “Happy birthday @sydelcurrylee we love you!”
Her eldest brother, Stephen Curry shared a picture of Sydel with her niblings (his and Ayesha’s kids) with such a older brother-ish wish. “Happy birthday to our flossy @sydelcurrylee.”

Sydel’s parents, Dell and Sonya are a little quiet and so is Seth, but he gets a pass with all the scrutiny on his future. But she got an absolutely adorable birthday wish from her podcast co-host, Cameron Brink.

“Happy birthday to my sissy & patttnaaa in crime ❤️love you soooo so much!! @sydelcurrylee” The LA Sparks star initially wrote on a picture of them that fits the Straight to Cam podcast theme. Sydel commented on Brink’s Story, “My bbyyyy! Love you!” but nothing on her brother and sister-in-law’s posts.
While most of the fam and her friends didn’t miss Sydel’s birthday, she has one birthday wish unfulfilled. So she went and got a funny substitute for it.

Sydel Curry got a 2D Damion Lee on her birthday
It’s been a hot minute since we thought about Damion Lee in the NBA. But he’s been conspicuous by his absence on his wife’s birthday.

Lee last played in the NBA in 2023 when he was signed under the Phoenix Suns. A devastating injury in training camp caused him to miss the subsequent seasons. However, instead of returning to the NBA, the guard went overseas. He signed with the Israel team Ironi Ness Ziona on August 23, their daughter Daryn’s second birthday.
They started their season in September and he’s expected to be there through 2026. So he’s possibly missing their eldest child, Daxon’s birthday in November. Ironi’s season likely wraps before their youngest, Dacen’s first birthday next May.
That means Sydel’s sorely missing her husband on her 31st birthday. But she shared she got a hilarious fix for it on her Stories, “My man came for my birthday 🥺” in 2D form. ‘Her man’ is a cardboard standee of Damion Lee and not the real deal. It brought out some emotions regardless because she wrote, “I may or may not have cried when I saw this cardboard of him lol I miss him so much it’s not even funny.” We feel ya, Sydel.
Sydel and Damion have been together since he was Steph Curry’s teammate on their championship squad. They married on September 1, 2018. Which means they got to celebrate their anniversary before the Israeli Basketball Premiere league officially began for the 2025-26 season.
Her struggles seem pale beside the storm her eldest brother’s marriage is in after Ayesha Curry made huge revelations about her relationship with Steph. The 4x NBA champion’s got his own share of worries for his career as he told EssentiallySports. However, the family has kept a united front and were apparently hyped for Steph and Seth playing together. Though that’s on hold till the Warriors have more cap space. But it does seem that the Curry family is in need of a reunion or two for real.
