LeBron James‘ iconic journey has left an indelible mark on the NBA history. His proactive leadership, unwavering commitment and zeal to be the best have inspired an entire generation of young basketball fans. However, his legacy did not shield him from being a constant target of public scrutiny. In an unexpected turn of events, veteran sports analyst Stephen A. Smith, who is renowned for being King James’ harshest critic, expressed admiration for his tenacious work ethic. In doing so, he called out the 8x All-Star and urged him to take inspiration from The Akron Hammer.
The King is well-known for his bullish strength and freakish athletics. Often referred to as the GOAT, he has been the face of the league for two decades now. His inexorable mindset, strict work ethic, and proactive leadership skills all set him apart from other players in the league. Even at 38, LeBron is in better shape than most players in the league and continues to strive to be better. However, Stephen A. Smith believes that Anthony Davis should learn from his teammate and try to emulate his workout routine.

Stephen A. Smith believes AD should learn from LeBron James
In a recent episode of Club Shay Shay, Stephen A. Smith revealed that LeBron James is the reason he is unhappy with Anthony Davis. Smith kicked off by acknowledging Anthony Davis’ contribution in helping LeBron secure the 2020 NBA Championship and the Orlando Bubble. Despite that, he expressed his dissatisfaction with his lack of dedication. He said, “How is he [LeBron James] in better shape than you? How is he more focused and dedicated than you? Could you take your a** over to his house and mimic his workout?”
SAS highlighted that LeBron continually vouched for AD to take the reins, but to do so, AD needs to have a better commitment towards his team.
Smith points out that Anthony Davis has the resources and tools to make himself better. He can leverage LeBron’s trainer and nutritionist to get back in shape.

AD missed 26 games last season due to his right foot injury. Despite delivering a top-class performance, he has remained inconsistent. In virtue of this, Stephen A. Smith conveyed his lack of faith in the Los Angeles Lakers’ centre. He said, “I don’t believe in Anthony Davis, in terms of his availability. I’m not talking about his skillset. I’m not talking about whether he cares or not. I’m talking about injury prone, sporadic, there’s something going on with him.”
