Ja Morant had an amazing game after serving his long suspension. Moments after the game, Morant went on to reveal the chat he had with his mother, showing that he was locked in from the get-go.

The Grizzlies took care of business, defeating the New Orleans Pelicans in a close game. The world got to see Ja Morant back in action, but his debut this season was capped off with a game-winning buzzer-beater shot as well.

His mom’s texts read, “Yes sir”, followed by “Never doubted you.” To that, Morant replied, “Tell ‘em I’m coming ma.” Followed by a 100 emoji and “Love you.” Morant shared the exchange of texts between him and his mother on his Instagram. He uploaded a screenshot on his Instagram Stories.

Morant’s screenshot also revealed the conversation he had with his mother prior to the game. The conversation revealed his mother asking him if he was ready. And Morant replied, “I’m your son … You know the answer.”
