“I’m not angry at T.O., I’m sad for him,” said the veteran analyst. “It is rare in my lifetime that I’ve seen a person make more enemies out of people who genuinely cared and tried to help him than this man.”

Smith said that Terrell Owens can talk whatever he wants. “Ain’t nobody running from him, he talking about how we will see what kind of heat you got in my face, I just saw you in Colorado. We were there together at the game….and we ain’t ever going to talk again and that’s fine, I won’t miss you. We stopped talking because after you saw that hit from Max Kellerman, Terrell Owens tried to sue me. Needless to say, it was laughable, it never went anywhere…..That’s why I was pissed off Saturday. Why he would get lawyers involved, looking for money, I wonder why. Y’all speculate about that.”

Despite a sensational NFL career, Owens has lost a major chunk of his financial earnings due to some underlying mishaps. This is what prompted Smith to have a higher net worth than a majorly successful NFL athlete.

The reason why Owens attempted to sue Stephen A. Smith is still unknown. However, Smith hinted at the NFL legend’s recent financial struggles as a possible reason and called it a cause for concern. While the $20M rich veteran analyst made a bold claim about Owens’ intentions, his struggles do seem pretty serious.

Owens retired from the NFL with a whopping net worth of $70M. However, he currently possesses a net worth of $50,000. How did his net worth take such a major hit? Because of his “bad experiences,” said the NFL Hall of Famer. He claimed that his financial investors lured him into unsuccessful investments which led to this steep fall and not his lavish lifestyle. Furthermore, he pays $44,600 a month in child support for his four children. Three of the four mothers have sued him. This has caused the major fall in his net worth.
