The former Phoenix Suns star has joined the sixth franchise of his career in search of a championship ring. CP3, a veteran of the game, has reached the twilight of his playing days. Thus, the fans viewed his inclusion on the roster as an addition of experience to the young bench of the Warriors. But the management may have other plans.

Recently, the NBA writer Marc J. Spears revealed the possibility of the 12-time All-Star starting for his new team. So, a backcourt duo of the Point God and the Splash Brother, at least at the beginning of the season, may start for the Dubs. This would result in one of them slotting in as a shooting guard for the majority parts of the game.

In case this happens, the team would have one of the most skillful guard combinations of all time, sacrificing size and power. The Warriors may then rely more on their ability to outscore the opponent. This approach has annoyed many of their supporters, as they revealed their disgust publicly.

What did the Dubs Nation say?

The news angered many followers purely due to its timing and nature. One fan showcased displeasure, by commenting, “If he start that’s gon be an ugly starting 5”.

Another could not digest what he just read. “Oh hell nah gotta be cap,” he mentioned, displaying his disbelief.

This continued as one of the followers wrote, “Really?!,” expressing the same.

A few started mocking the decision, as one of them said, “He’s going to start what”.

Only a handful of fans gave a proper explanation for their reaction. One supporter, in particular, broke down his reasons for disagreements, suggesting a better role for CP3.
