Losing to the Indiana Pacers on their home court, Stephen Curry and his team faced a daunting setback in the Friday night game. While the Warriors seemed prepared during the second quarter, it all went downhill for the team when the Pacers ended the frame, carrying it into the third quarter. Failing with their fourth-quarter push, the Golden State players lost to a score of 123-111.

With a handful of misses late into the clash, Stephen Curry marked his strength in the opening frame, but sadly, that did not save the day for his team. Analyzing the Warriors’ current dynamics, Golden State Insider Monte Poole shared his concerns, addressing the speculations surrounding the dynasty. In a candid note, the Bay Area veteran claimed, “I think the dynasty was over last year”.

Notably, the Warriors have always failed to defeat the Pacers at Chase Center, losing yet again to the latter’s perfect score of 5-0. As the Indiana crew seized the game in the first half, its narrative turned in their favor from the very beginning. While this loss added to the buzz surrounding the Golden State dynasty, Poole expressed, “I thought they could still make a real strong postseason run if they pulled everything together. But it hasn’t happened.” The Warriors had a tough reality check in March, losing five times in their last 8 games.

Departing for a 5-game trip on Saturday with his team, Stephen Curry emphasized, “Before you go on a long road trip, [you have] the opportunity to protect your home court.” “We talked about that so many times. We didn’t do it”, the Warriors point guard added.

Warriors insider maps out the prospects for Stephen Curry and his team

As Stephen Curry and his Warriors mates seized a comeback in February, fans reignited their faith in the Warriors dynasty. But soon, it all went in vain, with Monte explaining, “The Warriors fans who felt so good a week ago, now are like what’re we gonna do? There’s just no sense, there’s nothing to be optimistic about right now based on the way the team is playing.”

During the Friday night game, the Warriors had one of the worst third quarters from this season, losing to the 36-21 score, with Pascal Siakam and Haliburton making points.

With the playoffs ahead, the team is now facing challenges, especially after losing four times in their last six home-court clashes. “That’s the math of it,” Stephen Curry pointed out, elaborating, “That’s going to sting because [we] missed huge opportunities to build true momentum and kind of settle ourselves in the standings a little bit.”

“Nothing’s guaranteed and I think we have enough pride to bounce back”, Curry added, continuing, “And I think we want it bad enough, and we’ve got to go show it.” Despite showcasing their playoff mode, the Warriors were seen lacking a balance.

While Stephen Curry and his team seized a 10-point lead in the late second quarter, the Pacers took hold of the game, crushing Golden State’s hopes with a 19-4 run. In 5 minutes, the Indiana squad marked their 99-83 lead, with opposition coach Steve Kerr mentioning, “Their point guard play was fantastic.” Hinting at the pivotal impacts of this loss on the Warriors’ prospects for the upcoming playoffs, columnist Poole admitted in the post-game discussions, “Reality hurts, but it’s real.”
