Josh Giddey has been in the eye of the storm due to his alleged relationship with a 15-year-old. Chet Holmgren deleted the friendship tweet with him later. And the NBA is conducting an inquiry. But Gilbert Arenas thinks he should be off his team for different reasons too.
He faced an ankle injury and has been out of action for some time. He was playing well in the game before he slipped on the hardwood and had an ankle sprain. As he thinks of playing again, Gilbert Arenas suggested why the Oklahoma City Thunder needs to drop him.

He opined that Giddey was a playmaker and rebounder but not a shooter. Thunder has been decent recently with Chet Holmgren and Shai-Gilgeous Alexander pair, and many experts have been debating what they need to do further to be champions. Arenas shared that the team needs a point guard. Further, he said that Thunder would be better in the coming years but Giddey would not fit in there. He said, “Only person that I see that is not sustainable there is probably Giddey and not because of the trouble just because he is a point guard like he’s a point guard that actually can’t shoot the ball at all right. He’s a playmaker rebounder and I don’t really need that.”
Oklahoma City Thunder won the West Conference Championship against San Antonio Spurs in six games in 2012. Later they lost to Miami Heat in the NBA finals. They won the last NBA finals in 1979 as Seattle Supersonics. Gilbert Arenas was asked what would make them champions.
Arenas shared, “I mean them picks is fool’s gold in the NBA. And some of them teams want picks back. Because there is a lot of teams that lost some shit that they can’t change their franchise for shit. And they holding all the keys to it. I mean they possibly can make some trades first and turn their franchise around, and somehow sneak a championship in one of these years. ”
But it is not the first time the star was critical of Thunder management.
