Steve Kerr pointed the finger at Stephen Curry after the Denver Nuggets loss. Amid the Golden State Warriors‘ hot streak, the team failed to cross the line against the defending champions. Notably, it is the 7th straight loss against Nikola Jokic & his men. Speaking to the reporters, Coach Kerr highlighted Steph’s workload during the post-game press conference.

Kerr said, “Steph has looked tired in the last few games… Steph not getting much of a break. Three games in four nights… He looks a little tired, but this is all part of the season.” He also pointed out the superstar’s non-stop run since the All-Star weekend.

Playing his 3rd game in the last four nights, Stephen Curry had a slow start. He ended the first half with just 4 points against his name. It may have strangled the Dubs’ attempt to sustain their 14-point lead in the second quarter. Yes, the Warriors blew yet another double-digit lead against the Denver. During their last outing, the Dubs held a 16-point lead in the last quarter and ended up blowing the game away.

However, in tonight’s game, the home team didn’t wait till the last quarter. Notably, Steph didn’t make a single bucket in the second quarter. The Baby-faced Assassin clocked out in the first half with 4 points. However, he showed promising signs in the 3rd quarter, dropping a quick fire of 14 points to keep the game alive. Unfortunately, he couldn’t keep the fire burning, as he failed to translate it to the last quarter. He managed to take only three shot attempts and ended up making only 2 points. The superstar definitely looked tired throughout the game and required cooling off before taking the team to the playoffs.

Speaking of the rest, the Dubs have a series of difficult games lined up. Let’s take a closer look at the upcoming Warriors schedule.

Stephen Curry to have a rest day

After highlighting Steph’s workload in the last few days, Steve Kerr also spoke about giving him a rest day. The 9x NBA Champion said, “We’ll just take it game by game and see how he is doing… Every player goes through it. Feeling a little fatigue… He will get it back. If we have to give him a game to help him, then we’ll do that.”

A few weeks ago, Steph received an off day during the game against the Milwaukee Bucks and the game went south for the Dubs. In their upcoming games, they face the Wizards, Knicks, Raptors, Celtics, and Bucks. The team can only afford to bench Curry against the Wizards and require him to play the rest to keep the team alive in the playoff race.
