LaMelo Ball has a huge reputation for his shooting skills, especially from the arc. In his four-season-long career, the star has dropped several clutch three-pointers. Ball’s famous bunny hopping walk after dropping a game-winning three-pointer has always been doing rounds in the NBA social media.

After four long years of leading the franchise with his offensive plays, the star has something to cherish about, his name etched in the record books.

The star recorded 500 career three-pointers along with two records. He became the second-fastest player to accomplish the feat. He did it in 175 games, second to Duncan Robinson, who did it in 152 games. On the other hand, he became the third youngest player to achieve this feat, behind Anthony Edwards and Luka Doncic.

He went on to achieve this feat during the close game against the Celtics, dropping five 3-pointers which helped him reach 36 points.

Moreover, Ball not only registered the two records but also went on to upset the Celtics in a close game.

Overtime thriller at Charlotte

Despite having a massive deficit in the fourth quarter, the team managed to pull it back and force overtime. The Hornets held their ground and kept the game tight. It all came down to the final few seconds, where the teams were tied at 116. The Hornets had possession of the ball, and Miles Bridges dropped a three-pointer with 6 seconds left in the game. Eventually, they went on to win by a close 121-118 margin.
