Luka Doncic earns some money during training camp

4-time NBA All-Star Luka Doncic has a staggering supermax contract with the Mavs, earning him around $215 million. In fact, he is the highest-paid player on the Mavs and the 3rd highest-paid point guard in the league. His recent antics on the court ensured that he added more to his already handsome net worth.

During a training session in Abu Dhabi, German star Maxi Kleber invited him to a trick shot challenge. Interestingly, there was some money involved in the challenge as well.

This was not all. Doncic tried his hands at another challenge and converted a shot while being behind the rim, while Kleber was sitting beside him. “Making money”, said Luka Magic as he expertly converted the throw while also falling to the floor. Naturally, this had his teammates in splits! However, moving on from the fun and frolic, fans are excited about a positive outcome this season.

The Mavs have something to look forward to this season

Although the Dallas Mavericks missed the playoffs last season, the fanbase is quite optimistic about this season. One of the biggest reasons why the Mavs failed to make it past the regular season was injury and coordination issues.

Kyrie Irving looked out of place on multiple occasions during the end of the regular season in 2023. Irving averaged 27.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists in 20 games for the Mavs. On the other hand, Doncic was their best player as he averaged 32.4 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 8.0 assists.
