Antetokounmpo was still on the floor as Nesmith was holding on to him. But within seconds, Bobby Portis came along and shoved Nesmith off of Giannis and charged at him with the intention of throwing hands.
The video clearly shows how livid Portis was after the play. Giannis Antetokounmpo, on the other hand, still managed to keep his cool during all this. The Greek Freak could be seen indicating to the bench not to come over so that things do not escalate further.

Was the intention to injure the Greek Freak?
The entire altercation was a rollercoaster ride of seconds. If you look at the play closely, Pacers forward Aaron Nesmith does wrap his arms around Giannis Antetokounmpo, but only to slow him down. Not to injure him.
However, the way Antetokounmpo hit the deck, it sure looked like Nesmith intended to do so. The only way to tell is how the Pacers forward held on to the seven-time All-Star to decrease the impact of the fall.
