Tyler Herro Injury Update: Eric Spoelstra Provides Encouraging News Including Kevin Love’s Status

Miami Heat fans had a sigh of relief as Coach Eric Spoelstra provided an update on Tyler Herro‘s injury. Coach addressed the media, revealing Herro has entered “the next phase of his return.” Additionally, there’s positive news regarding Kevin Love’s potential return to action.

Return of both players is important for Miami Heat as they are currently 7th ranked team in the Eastern Conference and are fighting for a playoff spot. If Love and Herro manages to return soon, then it will be a huge boost for Heat.

Herro has been sidelined with an ankle injury, leaving a significant scoring void in the Heat lineup. Today’s practice session was a welcome sight for Miami fans. Herro participated in on-court activities for the first time in front of reporters. Spoelstra spoke about Herro’s progress saying, “He’s on that next phase of his return. We don’t have a timeline, but yeah it’s definitely encouraging that he’s able to get on the wood and start to get ready.

Herro has played 36 games this season. He averages 20.8 points per game this season. He also averages 5.3 rebounds and 4.4 assists per match. Herro also averages 39.9% 3 pointing scoring this season.

Apart from Herro, Spoelstra also provided update on Kevin Love. Love missed practice due to personal reasons, but Spoelstra reassured fans that Love’s status “will be upgraded tomorrow and we’ll just see how he feels.

Love is currently dealing with a heel issue, but Spoelstra said that Love is “expected” to play Friday’s game. His return will help Miami’s frontcourt as Love provided good rotation option to the team. He hasn’t been able to get much game time, but the veteran averages 9.0 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.

With Herro making strides in his recovery and Love expected to return to the lineup, the Heat’s depth will recieve significant boost.
