Unlike America, Savannah James Expresses in Gratitude for Sha’Carri Richardson’s Paris Olympics Triumph

While the basketball tournament has been super entertaining, Team USA has also been dominating on the tracks. The Americans have already bagged seven medals as they approach the Semi-Finals. Sha’Carri Richardson recently finished the women’s 100 meter with a silver medal. Not only that, but she did so in her Olympic debut. Finishing the dash in 10.87, she was accompanied by Melissa Jefferson who finished in 10.92. Now, in the audience were some of the proud supporters of Team USA, including Savannah James.

The James family was in attendance as they witnessed Richardson and Jefferson bag two medals in athletics. While Savannah and her daughter, Zhuri, enjoyed the track event, Richardson’s silver medal did not shine in America. “So happy to share these experiences with my girl”, wrote Savannah in her story. However, fans were not so proud of Richardson’s dash and it all came down to the youngster’s hype ahead of her performance.

Now, the reason for the same was the expected gold medal. Sha’Carri bagged a gold in the World Championship last year. As the Olympics approached, it seemed as if she would repeat the same in her debut. While Richardson finished second in the Semi-Finals right behind Alfred, the gap wasn’t a big deal for the upcoming Finals. Fans took to Twitter after what seemed to them as a disappointing run from the Olympic rookie. Nevertheless, Richardson definitely has the will to bag gold, and at this point, she can only dream of the same focusing on LA ’28.

Among her supporters was Savannah James, whose Instagram story shows Richardson’s introduction right before the final heat. It is safe to say that she’s been enjoying her time in Paris. With LeBron James and company dominating in the basketball tournament, Savannah and Zhuri continue to have fun witnessing the rest of the sports. However, this wasn’t Savannah’s only outing.

The couple attended the beach volleyball at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles amid a storm. Yes, the games were also suspended, however, the two did not leave. The couple put on their backs and waited till the storm passed. While the game did resume later, James and Savannah were among the only ones attending the game as most of the fans had left. On the other hand, as the basketball Quarter-Finals call teams back to Paris, Savannah, and Zhuri will not miss the action as Team USA prepares to face Brazil on Tuesday.

It will be an interesting matchup but then again, the Americans will make sure to not take the Brazilians lightly. The four games will be played at the same venue back to back on Tuesday with Team USA’s matchup being the climax. What are your thoughts on the quarter final games?
