Despite the reunion of superstars for the 2024 Olympics, fans didn’t hesitate to troll the new outfit. Team USA’s upcoming appearance in the Paris Olympics turned out to be the next big thing in the hoop nation following the 2024 NBA postseason. The program got its necessary attention for the much-cherished reunion of LeBron James, and Kevin Durant alongside Stephen Curry. Importantly, they join hands to hunt down their fifth consecutive gold medal.

Nevertheless, fans seem to be more worried about the team’s outfit than the reunion’s glorious nature. An X handle shared a video clip of Nike‘s Olympic sports gear unveiling in Paris. The video clip featured various countries’ outfits along with Team USA men’s and women’s basketball jerseys. The jersey had the traditional blue, red, and white shades on it. However, it didn’t seem to impress a certain section of fans. They swarmed the comments section, trashing the jersey. One user said, “USAs are TERRIBLE.”

A fan not only disliked the jersey but also called for a drastic action on Nike.

Another fan opted to use the ‘LeBron James’ pop culture reference to express their disappointment.

This fan rallied with the bandwagon and expressed their disappointment with an emoji.

Another fan didn’t hesitate to comments, ” what the hell is this?!”

Along with Team USA’s basketball kit, Nike also unveiled the jerseys for various track and field sports. While the fans trashed the sports brand’s design, they focussed on the performance and comfort of the athlete.

In a statement during the unveiling event, Janett Nichol, vice president of apparel innovation said, “We’ve now been able to take athlete insights, along with data, and use that algorithm to create something that allows us to get to a level of specificity, fidelity and accuracy that we’ve never been able to do before,” reported CBS Sports.

In the last four Olympic outings, the US side has had an impeccable recording, winning gold medals in all of them. However, the upcoming games would be considered a redemption outing because of the team’s recent performances. Ahead of the 2023-24 NBA season, Team USA comprising Anthony Edwards, Austin Reaves, and several other youngsters represented the team at the FIBA WC. Unfortunately, the team failed to even clinch the bronze medal.

Moreover, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and Stephen Curry expressed their wish to represent their country in the Olympics around that time. While the update boiled down during the long regular season, it again came on the top of the surface with the latest update. The NBA insider, Shams Charania, revealed the 12-player roster for the Paris Olympics.
