Following Orlando Magic‘s redemptive victory against the Los Angeles Lakers, the Miami Heat set the tone for their season against the Lakers. The Lakers started the game strong, leading the first quarter for the first time in the season. However, their fortunes took a turn when LeBron James and the Lakers were left shorthanded as Anthony Davis had to leave the game before halftime due to a hip spasm.

LeBron James has off-court concerns despite the loss

After a loss to the Miami Heat, LeBron James, despite orchestrating a potential game-winner, appeared eager to enjoy some personal time. Putting aside matters related to the game, James took to social media to share a minor obstacle hindering his relaxation. Directing his frustration toward the $29.71 billion media brand, James wrote, “Why does YouTube TV be buffering so damn much!!??!!?? Very frustrating”

The Lakers have a worse season than the Houston Rockets

The Lakers have significantly bolstered their roster during the off-season. However, they have commenced the 2023 season in a rather disappointing fashion. Despite pulling a victory against Phoneix Suns and Los Angeles Clippers, they are failing to make it consistently. LeBron James is currently posting nearly 25 points per game with 56.1% shooting efficiency. Furthermore, in the last three games, he has two 30+ point performances. However, it appears that his brilliance is not sufficient to remedy the Lakers’ woes.

The Lakers currently hold a 3-4 record and are reeling from a recent loss to the Miami Heat. In contrast, the Houston Rockets seem to be on an upward trajectory, securing three consecutive victories and attaining a commendable 3-3 record. Furthermore, they boast a .500 winning ratio?surpassing the Lakers’ .429. Interestingly, on Wednesday, the Lakers and the Rockets will face off against each other.
