Victor Wembanyama falls into trouble again, but this time it seems more scary. During the second quarter of the clash against the Houston Rockets, Wemby had a horrific collision with the Rockets center Alperen Sengun. Following the collision, the young rookie looked rattled and immediately walked into the locker room, as per Tom Orsborn, a reporter.

Notably, this is the second time in the last two games. During the last game against the Indiana Pacers, Wembanyama suffered a blow on his left shoulder late in the game and clocked out. Later, he was placed in the Questionable ahead of tonight’s game, owing to shoulder soreness. However, the star rookie made it to the game.

The latest injury doesn’t seem to be serious as Victor Wembanyama clocked back in the third quarter and went up against Sengun again. In fact, both big men have their own personal battles active near the rim. On the other hand, the French baller is fresh off his record night against the Pacers. He became the first rookie to drop 25+ points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 blocks in a back-to-back game.

Stepping into the Rockets game, he also had the opportunity to make it three games in a row to register as a stat line. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be the case for the 20-year-old, as the Rockets center and Dillon Brooks has been all-over him since the tip off.

Multiple videos of the contest between Sengun and Wembanyama took over the online world. While Wemby came into the league with the hype, the 21-year-old Sengun has worked his way up as an explosive center. And there is no doubt that the French baller is living up to the hype.

Sengun vs Wembanyama: who is the better center?

Tonight, Alperen Sengun seemed to be the clear winner in the contest. The 21-year-old center has chased down his career high of 37 points and dropped 45 points tonight. Whereas Wemby struggled to find buckets, scoring only 10 points. Moreover, Sengun not only out-scored Wemby but also proved that he was unguardable.

The Rockets center extracted 4 fouls out of the Frenchmen and forced the San Antonio Spurs coach to bench the star rookie. While the game seemed evenly poised till the first half. It has slowly moved in the favor of the Rockets after Wemby’s foul trouble. On the other hand, even though Wemby didn’t generate buckets, he excelled in other facets. He registered 11 rebounds and 7 blocks. However, the game ended in the Rockets favor, as they took home 101-114 win.
