Many dream of making it to the NBA, and making it big. At just 19 years old, French basketball player Victor Wembanyama was signed by the San Antonio Spurs. The French player was selected first overall during the 2023 NBA draft in June. The contract was for four years and a little over $54 million, making it the highest rookie contract in this year’s draft.

Spurs’ No.1 pick this year, Victor is a basketball prodigy, has a towering 7’3” frame, and is ready to set fire to the court with his young talent and skills. The young blood is yet to make endorsement deals and other sources of income, which will only depend on his performance on the court.

Despite hitting this rookie jackpot, it is astonishing to know the fact that when compared to NBA legend and one of the highest-paid player James, Victor’s earning still falls short. His annual earnings will still be $5,229,368 less than Bron’s NBA Tax Bill. This puts things into perspective regarding the pay disparity between rookies and veterans.

How Much Will Victor Wembanyama Earn During His Rookie NBA Season at San Antonio Spurs?

King James has been in the game for a long time and is considered one of the best; he has enjoyed hefty endorsement deals, business endeavors, and, of course, whopping NBA salaries throughout the years. Despite earning lucrative sums, NBA players are known to pay high amounts of tax bills; even LeBron is not exempt from this.
