Finishing the season as the fifth seed in the East, the Milwaukee Bucks are now staring down a dramatic summer. After a first-round exit at the hands of the Indiana Pacers — their third straight early playoff exit — the noise around Giannis Antetokounmpo’s future is only getting louder. Dan Patrick hinted that Giannis is eagerly demanding, “trade me, or I’d be open to a trade.”
Given his dominant playoff numbers this year — 33 points and 15.4 rebounds per game — he’ll have no shortage of suitors. But there’s a catch: his contract. With a three-year, $175 million extension set to kick in, including a player option in the final year, only a few franchises have the assets and cap space to realistically make a move.
Right now, the top possible trade spot for Giannis is the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs could pair him with Victor Wembanyama and De’Aaron Fox. This would set them up as a real threat in the West. “San Antonio has something that is extremely attractive, is that they have a star player in Victor Wembanyama,” Brian Windhorst remarked on the Dan Patrick show. “They have young pieces in house that would interest anybody including Stephon Castle who just won rookie of the year.”

Brian Windhorst didn’t mince words when laying out why the Bucks might entertain a blockbuster deal: “San Antonio can give them real players, they can give them young players, and they can give them draft picks. That’s the golden triangle.” And he’s not wrong.
With a package potentially centered around Stephon Castle, Harrison Barnes, and Keldon Johnson, the Spurs can offer Milwaukee exactly what it lacks—youth, depth, and draft capital. After hemorrhaging first-round picks in previous deals, the Bucks don’t have the luxury of restocking through the draft anytime soon. That makes a trade with a team like San Antonio, flush with assets, all the more appealing.
Meanwhile, the Spurs could very well look to pair a 30-year-old Giannis Antetokounmpo with their rising phenom, Victor Wembanyama, allowing the Greek Freak to mentor the French star as he continues to grow into the league. Wembanyama’s 2024-25 campaign was unfortunately cut short due to a sudden shoulder injury, but not before he averaged an impressive 21.4 points and 10.6 rebounds and earned his first All-Star nod.
Thankfully, the 21-year-old appears to be recovering well. A recent workout photo posted by Legion Hoops on X showed Wemby back in the gym—more muscular, more confident. But, of course, NBA Twitter couldn’t resist. Despite his progress, fans flooded the comments section with jokes about his legs, reigniting the age-old trolling around his slim frame.

NBA fans storm comments to troll Wembanyama
The 21-year-old Victor Wembanyama has now become a household name. Earning praise from even NBA legend LeBron James, “I think he’s been great, obviously, for the franchise with the Spurs. But he’s going to be great for our league for so many years to come.” However, love is not universal. The picture with the caption, “Wemby making gains?” with a muscle emoji, garnered some confused comments about the athlete. One of the fans commented, “Looks the same????” questioning the legitimacy of Wemby’s workout.

While one fan dismissed any noticeable change, saying, “Nah, he always looked like this,” others jumped in with more pointed reactions. A recurring theme? His legs. Comments like “Missed leg day” popped up repeatedly, poking fun at the 7-footer’s lanky frame.

But not everyone was joking. One user summed up a thought many quietly shared: “He’s legit 8 feet tall.” And honestly, he does look even taller these days.
Still, the comment that stood out most was a hopeful one: “He’s gonna be the best ever if he plays a healthy 15+ years.” Hard to argue with that. Victor Wembanyama has only scratched the surface, and if he stays healthy, the league may be witnessing the early chapters of an all-time great career.
