Victor Wembanyama could be a problem for teams

Ever since Wembanyama made himself available for the NBA draft, the buzz around his name was incredible. To no surprise, he was the 1st round 1st overall pick in the NBA draft of 2023. He was picked by the San Antonio Spurs and since then, the Spurs have been crystal clear with their 2024 vision.

At the beginning of the preseason matchups, all eyes were on the 19-year-old and he didn’t disappoint. During the Spurs v Warriors game, we got a taste of a young giant going against an all-time great in Curry.

Having seen the Warriors lose up close, the Dallas Mavericks are in no mood to take this lightly before their first game against the Spurs. The Mavs designed their own artificial Wemby just to figure out how to tackle the 7’4 giant. A clip from the Mavs training session has surfaced where the player development coach God Shammgod can be seen playing the role of Wemby. While the technique sure is impressive, it begs the question, how good is Victor Wembanyama? Rest assured, we’ll get the answer in due time.

Victor Wembanyama dwarfed Warriors stars

The tip-off between the Warriors and Spurs was hilarious, to say the least. Seeing Curry be adamant about getting the first touch against the 7’4 giant was special. However, the rookie was all over the place as one couldn’t get their eyes off him while he was on the court. Although we’ve had several big men in the league, none are as flexible and athletic as Wembanyama.
