It’s still a surprise that the Golden State Warriors haven’t facilitated a trade amid their poor run. This season has been a disappointment in all aspects for the Bay Area team. Apart from the promising display from the bench, the team barely has any positives. And, the veteran failed to deliver to the side on multiple occasions. Even though Klay Thompson showed signs of his shooting prowess after a rusty start, a shocking report suggested that the 33-year-old could find the exit.

Shams Charania, the renowned NBA insider, recently dropped the hammer on the Dub Nation. In the recent show, Run It Back, he spoke about the current mood in the Warriors management. Reflecting on the team’s 19-24 record, Charania said, ” Everyone is on the table except for Steph Curry.”

While there are a lot of options before Thompson, like Andrew Wiggins and Chris Paul, Charania warned the fans to expect anything. Especially Wiggins, who played a crucial role in the 2022 Championship run, just couldn’t find the rhythm for him. First, he lost his spot in the starting line-up and now, he could lose his spot on the roster as well.

On the other hand, CP3 didn’t make much of an impact on the side, apart from leading the second unit. Charania said, “They’re going to take calls on Andrew Wiggins, Chris Paul, and could they get interest on a guy even like Klay Thompson?… They have to be open-minded… So we’ll see if there’s going to be any moves over the next 10 days.”

However, one-half of the Splash Brothers seemed to have found his touch in the last few games. Notably, he outscored Stephen Curry in several games, when the Baby-faced Assassin was struggling to get into the groove. In this season, China Klay is averaging two points short of his career average at 17.6.

So instead of securing the veteran, the Dubs might look to build their new core.

Who will form the future core team for the Warriors?

Over the last decade, the Warriors were nothing without their core, Steph, Klay, and Draymond Green. But, their high-arching story graph seemed to have come to an end. Even though Klay had already said that he would like to end his career as a Warrior, he may not fulfill his dream.

On the other hand, the future seemed to be on the bright side of the Dubs. Jonathan Kuminga and rookie Brandin Podziemski have shown their grit and stepped up for the team on numerous occasions. Especially, Kuminga changed the dynamics of the Warriors’ offense with his dancing near the paint. So the future core could comprise Kuminga, Podziemski, and maybe Trayce Jackson-Davis.
