The son of a sharpshooter himself, Curry has always had a knack for shooting rather than any other aspect of the game. And both the tests of Curry and his father Dell were put to test recently when the four-time NBA champion was handed a loss in front of a jam-packed crowd.

If there is one thing that Stephen Curry excels at, it is shooting the long ball. Be it off the dribble, with a hand in his face, or falling down. Curry does manage to sink it every time he can. However, here the son finally got schooled by his father.

Stephen Curry loses terribly to Father Dell

Golden State Warriors star point guard Stephen Curry has been making the most of the offseason. Be it relaxing and taking days off to travel and play golf. Or to hit his basketball camps for the upcoming season.

Curry has a good balance of both. Recently, both Curry and his father were seen competing in a three-point contest against one another. Both players shot five balls from the top of the key on opposite courts.

Dell went first, sinking the last two shots out of five. Everyone assumed that Curry would sink all five. However, he only managed to make the last shot of the rack, losing terribly to his father and getting schooled in front of an entire arena.

The entire arena went nuts. However, given the nature of Curry, he was more than happy to lose to his father rather than anyone else. And did so with a wide smile on his face nonetheless.

But it was Steph that put the work in and one can assume worked closely with his father to set himself apart. His three-point shooting is exquisite and what makes him an even bigger threat is Curry does not even have to cross half-court to knock down shots.

This certainly came with years of hard work in the gym with perseverance. So, for Curry to lose to his father would not have been a big deal after all. Even if it seemed like one to fans.
