Anthony Davis appears to be silencing the long-standing skepticism surrounding his toughness and intensity; particularly during the crucial games. Injecting vitality into the Lakers’ dominance, Davis asserted himself as the best player on the court to ultimately lift the NBA Cup. Despite quickly returning to the bench in the third quarter, Davis persevered through the pain to finish the game.

With unrestrained enthusiasm, Davis roared to the crowd whenever he pleased, aggressively stomping against the Pacers. The result was a monstrous performance, as Anthony Davis racked up a 41 points and 20 rebounds double-double. Furthermore, he achieved his player of the game title with remarkable efficiency, 16-24 shooting from the field and tallying 4 blocks.

LeBron James complimented Davis’s standout performance with a double-double of his own; 24 points and 11 rebounds. Furthermore, he did what he loved the most throughout the contest, controlling the momentum and dissecting the game play-by-play.

Adding to the mix was Austin Reaves, who provided an early boost to the squad. Reaves finished with 28 points, 22 of which came in the first half; his most in the initial two quarters ever.

Is Davis finally back to his dominant best? Will he be able to stay healthy through the season and help the Lakers challenge for the title?
