When the Miami Heat needs its leader the most, they suffered a major setback. The Heat is in Denver, going up against Nikola Jokic while severely lacking some firepower right now. Bam Adebayo started the game but only eight minutes in, suffered an injury. He left the floor with a hurt left foot. His team is struggling without him as the Heat has fallen 68-57 in the second quarter.

The initial reports indicate it’s a little more serious than we’d like. He’s listed as questionable to return to the game while he gets medical attention. It’s not immediately clear when he got hurt.

He recorded 2 points and 1 rebound before leaving. If he doesn’t return, the Heat will have a tough matchup against Denver while Tyler Herro has months to return.

Fans may have identified when it happened. During a play, Adebayo got briefly tangled with Denver’s Cameron Johnson although it didn’t look that bad. However, he was holding his leg immediately after and stumbled a bit.
