The Game 2 Semifinals saw things going in an unexpected direction for Jaden McDaniels. After 22 minutes on the court, he could only muster 5 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists. In a surprising turn of events, the player was recently seen heading to the locker room, despite not sustaining any injury! McDaniels had only recorded four fouls and wasn’t subject to disqualification. Everyone was quick to take note and share their reaction on their socials. Onlookers at the Ball Arena in Colorado were especially on the lookout for any reaction stemming from the player.

One of them highlighted being on the opposite side of the arena and not able to catch even a single clear glimpse of Jaden McDaniels. If the player again decided to punch the wall, they wouldn’t know until later!

Another individual unexpectedly started a comments thread seeking an update on the 23-year-old player. Some people guessed he was just trying to take a break after the 4-fouls fiasco. Others think he went for the infamous “potty break”. Since the player had been gone for quite some time now, it certainly seemed to be a long break.

Interestingly, as the player came out of the locker room, he did not return to the court and instead chose to sit out. Despite this, a couple of fans were excited about his return. One even proceeded to draw a comparison with the NBA player and WWE’s Undertaker, who is known for his signature ‘Rising from the Coffin’ move.

This individual may not be aware of what is the true reason for McDaniels’ exit. However, he made use of the opportunity to highlight how the player unexpectedly punched the wall the last time he headed to the locker room.

Anthony Edwards praises Jaden McDaniels for his “phenomenal” play during the playoffs

Despite the four fouls that he recorded, Jaden McDaniels’ contribution helped the Timberwolves go a long way. His defensive skills helped to keep rival players like Jamal Murray at bay and limit the Nuggets’ scoring. As a result, his team members were able to record their second consecutive semifinal win.

During the post-game press conference, the Timberwolves’ lead scorer, Anthony Edwards, sent his flowers to McDaniels. Highlighting the latter’s overall contribution during the playoffs, he stated, “Don’t complain, keep guard, keep picking up full court. We wouldn’t be the team that we are today, that we were in the regular season (without him). Hopefully, we can keep him out there and he keeps playing like that man, cause he’s definitely the X-Factor of the team.”
