Media days set the tone for the preseason. Whispers abound that the team will end the uncertainty surrounding the franchise’s stars before training camp.

When is the Philadelphia 76ers media day?

As the NBA opens the schedule from September 23 for teams to engage the media, the 76ers will hold a full court on September 26, 2025. Considering the suspense we’re in, the team is addressing the burning questions earlier than other franchises, which will mostly convene the following Monday. As of now, details remain obscure, including the broadcasting schedule.

Unless something changes, the media day will air on the NBA’s official channels on YouTube and its own platform. However, the NBA is in a new media setup with Amazon and the league. Perhaps Prime subscribers might be lucky in accessing the press conferences (if anyone is interested) on Amazon’s new NBA media library. While the date is confirmed, there’s no word on who will participate, if not all the players. Although there have been few players at the training facility in Camden, New Jersey, according to their social media. The training camp will also be cut short by a trip to Abu Dhabi to duke it out against their nemesis, the Knicks, on October 2. However, Embiid has not been seen in practice gear in most pictures. Former teammates aren’t so convinced Embiid is a first option either. It hints that he’s not going full steam ahead yet. Although the team was optimistic that he would be in better shape for training camp. Given the little media scrum the team is building up to, we might just see Embiid seated behind the mic on September 26.

Also on the Sixer Watch is Quentin Grimes. If the online chatter is to be believed, he might even be looking at a starting position or free agency, whichever’s more stress-inducing. That is not sitting well with fans already.

The team will also celebrate 25 years since their finals appearance in 2000-01 this season. Plans are that the team will debut their special Allen Iverson jerseys for the franchise legend sometime this season.
