Following the season, Bronny James declared for the NBA Draft while maintaining his college eligibility. He also entered the transfer porta;l, expanding his options for his future playing career. Now, in high demand by teams like Minnesota, Dallas, and Toronto, Bronny’s agent, Rick Paul, recently addressed his future on Bill Simmon’s podcast.

Simmons, known for his pointed commentary, suggested a strategic move, he said, “Here’s my case: everybody says this draft sucks. The Celtics are so deep… anyone in this draft isn’t going to play for them. Why not take Bronny and you basically hold him hostage? Because all these other teams want him, right? Furthermore, Bill Simmons said that the Lakers drafted Lebron James’s son, Bronny, and suggested a trade. Simmons believes Bronny will have more value as a trade in his thirties than anything the Lakers could get by letting Christie go.

In response to Bill Simmon’s comments, lutch Sports CEO Rich Paul countered, ” Look, I think whether it’s Bronny or whether it’s anybody in this draft, 1 through 60, they all need development. And some guys are further along.” Paul’s statement subtly suggests that keeping Bronny on the Lakers isn’t the only option. furthermore, Rich Paul threw some cold water on that idea. There were rumours Bronny only working out for the Lakers and Sun means he was locked in with them. Not quite true, according to Paul.

Rich Paul Sheds Light on Bronny’s Future and Development

In a recent interview with ESPN, Rich Paul, Bronny James’s agent, shed light on the limited pre-draft workout. “The goal is to find a team that values your guy and try to push him to get there,” Paul explained. “It’s important to understand the context and realize that this has always been the strategy with many of my clients throughout the years, especially those in need of development like Bronny. My stuff is by design.”

Paul further emphasized that his priority isn’t where Bronny lands, whether it’s the Lakers, the Suns, or any other team. Notably, the Lakers hold the 17th and 55th picks in the upcoming draft (June 26-27), while the Suns draft at 22nd.

With the NBA Draft approaching, it’s anyone’s guess where Bronny James will land. Will the Los Angeles Lakers, his dad’s team, snag him? Or will another team swoop in?
