The Golden State Warriors opened their four-game road trip with a win against the Detroit Pistons on Thursday night. This win came after back-to-back losses in their last two games. Six members scored in double digits for the Dubs in a much-needed 107-104 win over the Pistons. Although the Warriors missed several of their key players, the Dubs nation wanted to know why forward Andrew Wiggins wasn’t available on the night.

Well, just before the game Wiggins was ruled out, leaving fans scratching their heads, wondering why the 29-year-old couldn’t take part in the matchup. While most would guess that it’s due to some injury sustained, Wiggins is unavailable owing to personal reasons. It was later revealed that the Warriors star and his girlfriend, Mychal Johnson, are expecting a child.

Wiggins and Johnson already share two daughters, Amyah and Alayah Milan, and this baby will be their third. As things stand now, he is also going to miss their next trip to Indiana to face the Pacers for the same as per ESPN.

It will be interesting to see how the Golden State navigates without arguably their second-best player this season. The Dubs faithful are sending their wishes for the forward showing support to the couple. Recently, Stephen Curry’s sister Sydel Curry showed her support for Mychal Johnson as the two celebrated the spirit of motherhood on Instagram. Johnson who’s expecting a third child posted a series of pictures showcasing her pregnancy. In the picture, Wiggins’ girlfriend was seen wearing a white top with blue jeans and carrying a purse to accessorize her stylish outfit.

Sydel Curry commented “Hot mom era 🔥🤩🏀” hyping up the soon-to-be mom. Clearly, the connection between these NBA-affiliated mothers is pretty deep. They share a mutual bond despite having different journeys.
Additionally, Wiggins also did not miss the chance to share his appreciation for Mychal as he commented with a bunch of emojis, showing his love for his girlfriend. The couple are enjoying their journey as parents and seem to be doing a great job of raising their two daughters, leaving no doubt they’ll be great parents to the newest member of the family as well.
