It appears that LeBron James’ 39th birthday was not so happy after all. The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Los Angeles Lakers by a deficit of two points with a final score of 106-108. Despite LBJ’s 26-point effort, the Lakers fell short at the last second. Anthony Edwards‘s 31-point performance propelled the T-Wolves to a victory, currently sitting at the Western Conference with a record of 24 Wins and & 7 losses.
The talking point of the show, however, was not the win. It was Edwards who made a shocking move that might have raised several questions in fans’ minds. The young star cleared the air and even apologized for what happened on the hardwood! In a recent post on X (formerly known as Twitter), a section of Edwards’s post-game interview was posted about the incident.
In the first quarter, the head coach wanted to sub him out to prevent foul trouble later in the game. However, the 23-year-old brushed him off. While this is a direct disrespect, Edwards explained himself later to the reporters. “That was my fault. Never want to do that to Finchy. Man, he’s a great coach. We talked about it. He knows I love him, he loves me. He told me at halftime. We talked about it,” said Edwards.

He further added, “I wanted to stay in. I wanted the last shot of the half or be able to create the last shot, and his reasoning was he didn’t want me to get a 4th foul or anything. Which he was right. So that was my fault.”
Even head coach Chris Finch said, “It’s been addressed and there will be no further comment about it.” Despite the minor hiccup, Anthony Edwards and T-wolves are having a great season so far.
Antman and the Wolves are having the best season in recent memory
Edwards is having a great season, apart from averaging 26 points a game, he also has a consistent 5.4 rebounds per game, 5.2 assists per game, and 1.4 steals a game.
