The frustration continued to grow in the Los Angeles Lakers camp following their recent away defeat. A 120-101 loss at the hands of the Orlando Magic came across as a major setback in LeBron James‘ quest for a 5th ring. Following the misery, the 19x All-Star candidly compared his franchise’s struggles with those of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

His unexpected remarks raised a few eyebrows as his love for the NFL was fully on display after the defeat. It also summarized their campaign until now from his perspective ahead of three consecutive away games.

The 4-time MVP could not help his team win the clash against the Magic despite a 24-9-5 night at Amway Center. The hosts handed the Lakers their third defeat of the regular season as their win-loss record is now tied after six games. Soon after that, LeBron tried to light a spark, saying, “We’re like the Pittsburgh Steelers right now”.

He believed so because “The Pittsburgh Steelers right now have not outgained or outscored any of their opponents”. Despite that, James highlighted, “They have a winning record,” with 5-3 overall from eight games played. Their second overall standing on the AFC North table showcased precisely that.

So, the NBA superstar joked about it, saying, “I might sound as a lucky charm”. The 38-year-old said that because, “Every time I pick against them, they win”.

Despite the fun, his comments had a certain level of truth as the NFL side struggled to put numbers on the board. They were majorly outscored before an astonishing comeback in the final quarter. So, the Steelers had found a way through despite their issues.
